Wellness Exams and Vaccinations: Our goal is a long and healthy life for your pet. Comprehensive physical exams performed twice a year help us to detect health problems early when therapy is most effective. Vaccinations are tailored to your pet's individual needs and risk of exposure to diseases.
Surgical Services: All of our surgery patients receive the same high standard of care. These standards include a preanesthetic blood panel, individually tailored pain management, intravenous fluids, careful anesthetic monitoring, warm air blankets, and a dedicated nurse during recovery.
Laser Surgery: The use of a laser results in less bleeding, swelling, and pain so your pet is more comfortable after surgery.
Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.
Radiology Services: Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders. Once a month, our radiographs are evaluated by a board certified radiologist.
Ultrasound: We perform ultrasound examinations in our hospital as a part of our diagnostic services.
Electrocardiography Services: We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.
Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
Pharmacy: We maintain an extensive inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, heartworm preventatives, and flea products to meet the needs of your pet.
Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and oral surgery. Most pets have evidence of dental disease by two years of age and many older pets have advanced periodontal disease causing pain and loss of teeth. Our goal is to prevent these problems with regular dental cleanings here in our hospital and instructions for home care of your pet's teeth.
Microchip Identification: A tiny microchip implanted under your pet's skin contains a code which can be linked to your name, address, and phone number. Most veterinarians and humane societies have a scanner which will detect your pet's microchip so you can be located and reunited with your pet.
Individualized Flea Control Programs: We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.
Dietary Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.
Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.
Emergency Care: Please call our main telephone number for instructions for after-hour emergencies.
